GST Sentinel
Find the ITC you're about to lose — before you file
GST Sentinel imports your GSTR-2B, matches it to the purchase bills in your books, and shows exactly which credit is safe, which is at risk and why.
What is the GSTR-2B to GSTR-3B window?
GSTR-2B for a month is generated on the 14th of the following month, and monthly GSTR-3B is due on the 20th. That leaves about six days to match every purchase bill, chase suppliers who haven't filed, and decide what credit to claim. GST Sentinel does the matching in minutes so the six days go to fixing, not finding.
What it shows
| List | Meaning | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Matched | Bill in books and in 2B, amounts agree | Claim |
| In books, not in 2B | Supplier hasn't filed or used a wrong GSTIN | Chase supplier; hold credit |
| In 2B, not in books | A bill you never recorded | Find the bill; record it |
| Mismatch | Amount, invoice number or GSTIN differs | Correct or query |
Checks on every bill
- GSTIN format, place of supply, IGST vs CGST/SGST.
- Duplicate invoice numbers from the same supplier.
- TDS: which section applies and whether the threshold is crossed.
How it fits your filing
GST Sentinel prepares and checks; it does not file. Your CA or accountant files GSTR-3B with confidence, with the match report attached to the Evidence Pack. (GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B preparation: coming soon.)
Questions
Do I need GST portal credentials?
No. Download GSTR-2B as Excel/JSON from the portal and upload it. Your portal password never touches BoringAccounts.
Can my CA run this for all clients?
Yes, from the CA Practice dashboard.
