Tally vs Zoho Books (2026): an honest comparison
Last checked: 16 Oct 2026. Prices and features from each vendor's own site; links below. We make BoringAccounts, which works alongside either — so we have no reason to pick a side.
The short answer
Choose TallyPrime if your accountant and CA already work in Tally, you need deep inventory or offline work, and you prefer a one-time licence. Choose Zoho Books if you want browser-first accounting, bank feeds, and an app ecosystem, and you're happy with a monthly subscription. In both cases someone still has to read bills and statements — that's the part BoringAccounts automates.
